What shall we do this weekend in Florence? Let’s go tho the Children’s Festival!

On april 15th-17th, the Florence unit of CHNet (LABEC laboratory) will be present in the Florence Children’s Festival with a “laboratory” on radiocarbon dating, addressed to children from 11 to 13 years old. The activity will be held in the Oblate library.

As a background for the lab, three comics of Mickey Mouse (Topolino, ed. Panini): Topolino e l’acceleratore nucleare (1985), Paperoga e il bosino di X (2013), Zio Paperone e Battista e l’Organipotogramma (2016).

CHNet is the network of Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) which brings together laboratories working on the development and the applications of analytical techniques for the study and the diagnostics of Cultural Heritage. The network is monitored by CNTT, the National Committee for the Technological Transfer of INFN. The LABEC laboratory, INFN unit of Florence, is the reference structure.
