Arte e(‘) Scienza again: the events of this weekend

Seminars

After the success of last year, the initiative of the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr), Arte e(‘) Scienza, is back!

Also this year AIAr in collaboration with CHNet, CNR and the Universities organizes a series of guided tours, seminars and meetings: in museums or archaeological sites the researchers will show the utility of applying scientific methodologies to the diagnostic and promotion of cultural heritage. The initiative will take place in different places spread over the whole Italian territory, in the weekends of October 2nd-4th and October 30th-November 1st, 2015.

This weekend the researchers will be in: Milan, Antiquarium: visit to the archaeological site and, in the year of EXPO, a “trip” into the food of 2000 years ago; Turin: Egyptian Museum, seminars on ornamental stones, pigments and funerary art; Ferrara and Modena: to reveal the secrets of paintings through infrared reflectography. Other event of the festival will be held in Otranto castle.

For further details please see the AIAr website.
