A school between science and archaeology held by University of Sassari and the Research Institutions of E-RIHS.it

Collaborations, E-RIHS, Education, In-situ analysis, TC

A school to gain practical experience in applying the most innovative techniques for the characterization of Archaeological sites, held in the beautiful Porto Conte bay in Alghero. This will be the “Training Camp – Tecniche innovative per Beni Culturali: Conoscenza e Caratterizzazione di siti e reperti archeologici”, which will be held from september 13rd to 22nd in the Porto Conte Ricerche, organized by the University of Sassari, funded by Sardegna Ricerche and with the patronage and the “education formula” of the Italian node of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science E-RIHS.
The Training Camp programme is based on lectures and in-situ measurements in the archaeological site of Sant’Imbenia; most of the time will be however devoted to practical laboratories during which participants will have the opportunity of using the instrumentation of the University of Sassari and of CNR, INFN and ENEA, the Research Institutions involved in E-RIHS.it. CHNet will give a fundamental contribution to the event thanks to the participation of seven units to lectures and laboratories.
The school is intended for people working in Cultural Heritage who have at least a bachelor degree. A maximum number of 30 participants will be selected by the application to a call. The deadline for applying is on july 16th 2017.
