One day of study in the Opificio
On Wednesday, November 18th 2015, the day of study More than Meets the Eye –
Nuovi studi e indagini sulla Estorick Collection will take place in the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Salone Polivalente, via degli Alfani 78, Florence, from 10:00 to 13:00.
The event will be devoted to the presentation of the results of archival and scientific researches on some of the masterpieces of Italian artists of the early twentieth century, from the Estorick Collection in London. In the same occasion, the exhibition
More than Meets the Eye – New Research on the Estorick Collection will be presented. The exhibition is actually being held in London until December 20th 2015.
The Florence unit of CHNet contributed to the studies with the radiocarbon dating of the wooden support of the painting “L’Idolo Moderno” by Umberto Boccioni.
